COVID-19: Desperate Situation or Opportunity?

April 28, 2020 | by: Pastor Harry Therwanger | 0 Comments

While with COVID-19 we are now asked to stay home and many have had our job hours cut, lost our jobs, and/or felt isolated from our friends and family we don't live with, it's important to believe that God's hand is working in our current circumstance. While we may not be able to see it now, perhaps there is some good that can come out of this. Perhaps in stopping a lot of the economic activity, the environment has had the opportunity to rebound, we have more time with our family at home, hopefully we can find things to do with the people we live with, perhaps getting to do things together that will be remembered for decades. Maybe we have time to reflect on our lives and decide if it is time to pivot to something better or more impactful than what we've been doing. Perhaps we re-evaluate our norms to make them less detrimental to the environment and more impactful to our neighbors and the ones we love.

This is a good time to reflect and pray for meaning, purpose, and direction as we go through these unusual circumstances.
